i found a cool idea but i dont know if it would be safe?


u take styrofoam(or polystyrene),cut it how u want it,glue it together into a rock structure(using liquid nails),put 3 coats of grout on it(nonsanded grout),paint it the color u want it,put a coat of paint sealer on it and u hav a natural looking structure.

Would it b safe

I don't know that i would use paint sealer - while used for weather proofing that is not the same as being able to be submerged in water for any length of time. What i have read, is that people use an epoxy resin. Once this cures - it is essentially impervious to water and anything else in the aqaurium.
