African Dwarf/Clawed Frog Feeder

I saw this video on Youtube of this feeder a guy made for his ADFs. It basically consists of an enclosed area with a hole small enough for an ADF to get through. Inside is where you put the food. It seems like a great way to feed an ADF without worrying about the other fish thieves. Only problem is, this guy made it and hasn't answered any questions about how he made it.

Anyone have an idea? I'd love to do something like this for my frogs. My betta & cories are thieves!

I've seen that and several like it on other pages, can't remember which ones, sorry.
Let's see if I can remember how it was done, you might be able to adapt from my memory.
Basically, you have 2 small dishes.
On the bottom plate silcone 4 ummm, maybe small marbles on the lip of the plate, opposite each other, let it set. Then silcone the top plate upside down on top on the marbles.
If not marbles, somthing thats going to leave a gap between the 2 plates thats big enough for the ADF but small enough that the betta and cories can't get into.

Hope that made sense. I'm sure that's not exactly how they did you, but I hope you get the idea.

Hmm...I'll try it and see. Sounds simple enough.

UPDATE:

Alright well, I did something pretty similar. I took a smaller tuppaware bowl with a lid and cut a tiny opening in the side just big enough for the frog but too small for the cories and the betta.

Guess who got in?

You got it! My hog-jaws betta got in! And now he's bloated........

So, here's what I'm going to do for my frog. I have another 10 gallon cycling. When it is done, I'm going to put him in there. I've decided to make that tank a frog tank. Should be fun. For now I'm going to keep him in a large jar. It's bigger than a fish bowl so he should still be alright. (It's all I have..and yes i'll be cleaning it A LOT.) he might like a break from a filter for a while.

I remember my grandmother was given a neon tetra and an ADF once. She knew nothing about raising them. They were given to her in a standard fish bowl. She kept them in alive in there for nearly 6 years. I didn't raise fish then so I knew nothing about it either. He'll only be in this jar for about 2 weeks or so. He should be fine.

Mods, you can close this thread.

Crafty betta! Looks like he'll need a bit of fasting.
With very frequent water changes the bowl should be fine for a temp situation. Be sure to keep him warm and make sure he can't get out.
I love an ADF species only tank.
Before adding any ADF's be sure to Q them for at least 2 months and read up on the Chytrid Fungus

Good luck and thread will be closed as requested.
