GREAT CO2 reactor! and how this site has helped so much!

not so much my idea as a mod to an exsiting one and mostly a "shot out" to this site and all its members!!! ive been having a few issues with my planted tank... and have been asking questions..... ive also been on a few other fish forums but this is the only place where i am not made to feel like a moron for not already knowing! just very pleasing to see so many people willing to help out and be pleasant about it!!!!

Anyhow just wanted to share this great DIY CO2 reactor idea shown to me as an answer for my inquiry.... my mods to it and the finished product.....
http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...2-reactor.html
(link thanks to mathas)

i went out and got the filter followed the links instructions.... only mods i did was to drill a hole into the strainer instead of jamming into the regulator cause i was afraid of kinking...... and the other thing i did was to put a small piece of fine filter floss over the outflow nossle before i placed the sponge on it, wich actually helped loads!!.... i cranked the output all the way up, mounted it on its side, all the way on the bottom of the tank and you can barely see it, the Co2 comes out so fine that the sponge holds 80% of all the bubbles untill they dissolve, very few micro bubbles get to the surface.... very awesome!!!

this is my tank with it installed behind the plants!

and a better look at the reactor...

see all the bubbles being held there!!

sorry i didnt post any "in progress" pics but i was excited to try it..... next time i do maint on it ill pull it apart and take pics!!! thanks again guys!!!!

I'm glad it worked out for you!

One thing I don't see in the tank is a drop checker. Unless I missed it in the pictures, you might want to consider the small investment so you can have a good at-a-glance idea of what your CO2 concentration is and adjust your bubble count appropriately.
