Background installation

to all. i know a lot of people get mad when there background falls off. Or the tape is not holding it anymore or you get tired of the tape. Well here is the solution.
Materials:
Spray bottle
Dish soap
Water
Razor blade
Ruler
Squeegee
Scotch tape

Well if you ever put some tinted windows in your car you know what to do.
If not take the soap put it on the bottle and the soap add enough to make it like 70% water and 30% soap. Make sure the back of the aquarium is clean. Place the background on the glass with tape top first try to slide it under the trim. Then cut the length of it to fit your aquarium. After that the bottom try to cut a little so you can slide it inside the trim too. Well now to the fun part. take the tape off. Insert the background inside the bottom trim and tape the sides about 1" from the bottom. the background will be hanging down. now spray the soapy water on the glass. stick the background on the glass and inside the top trim. Then spray the background so is easy to run the squeegee on the background and now just run the squeegee all over top to bottom or from middle to the sides to get all the water out. When you are sure there are no more bubbles. dry the sides and bottom edges and put small pieces of tape to hold it. You should have a long lasting seal for your aquarium background. Good Luck.

That does work well with backgrounds that are plastic sheet material. I could not find one tall enuff for my 75gal at the LFS so I bought material from a nylon faberic from the fabstore doubled it so you cann't see through it seamed in soft velcor cross the top glued the hard side to my tank back top trim and bottom corners to get no wrinkles, I made 2 diffrent colors black and blue. Change them out when I feel the need for change and just through them in the wash to clean.(Use the soft velcor on the nylon materail or you will be picking lint)
