Converting Nova Extreme to canopy (retrofit)

I have two sets of Nova Extremes with moonlights (4 T5's each) and I am planning to open the cases to mount them to my 210's canopy. I have the water proof end caps but my dilema is how do I remove the power cord from the case completely? Has anyone tried to do this before?

You have two options:

Cut a notch in the frame from the edge to the wire so you can slide the wire out.

Or

Cut the black and white wires of the cord before the ballast, leaving enough wire on each side to reconnect them with wirenuts and electrical tape.
The ground wire should have a screw into the frame. Guess how you get that wire loose?
Or, you could get a new plug at the hardware store and cut the plug off and slide the whole cord through the frame, then put the new plug on, but if you don't know which wire goes where in a plug I wouldn't recommend this method. Fires can be neat, but not in your house.

I know which option I'd take.

yeah, thanks. I just cut the the frame to remove the cord. Now because I have the Nova Extremes with (4) bulbs instead of (2) I have to grasp how they had the wiring because if differed on the yellow end from the blue and red wired ends. I also will be looking up how I should ground the Ballast with this setup. Again thanks.
