This should work for a filter right?

I'm having some issues with my canister filter I think. Since I don't have any spare filter laying around at the moment (nor any spare sponges). I took some floss media out of one of my other filters, wrapped it and some new floss around an air-stone and then put that inside an upside down terricotta pot with the air line coming out the hole in the bottom (now top) of the pot. i made sure that there was a little bit of space under the pot for water flow. That should work shouldn't it?
I know that it probably won't be very efficiant in a 32 Gal tank but since there's now only one fish in the tank it's not like the it's very heavily stocked.

the rising bubbles produce a current which circulates the water.

good improvisation. Sounds like a good permanent filter for slow or small fish like betas or fry.

That is a really cool video. I actually was thinking of making a DIY filter for my quarantine tank. I just have one question, is the airline tubing hooked up to a pump?

Yea I like that....cheap simple way to make a filter. Can make them out of just about anything but soda bottle would be best choice for looks anyway. Viewed some other videos where people make them out of Cool Whip containers...lol but hey whatever works.
