Question!

Is it possible to build a filter with ordinary items that are found in your home?

A sponge filter maybe..You'd have to have a airpump and a airstone though. What size of tank are you wanting to filter and how many fish would be in it?

One of my breeding traps has a "filter" in it. A plastic chamber with some floss in it. It must be the most basic filter in the world but you still need an airstone and airpump to run it.

Well, I was just wondering if you could make it. But I might use it for my future 55 gallon tank with some goldfish.

Goldfish are big waste producers..I would suggest over filtration.

Yeah, you'd want more than a homemade filter for Goldfish.

But I was just wondering if you could build a filter out of things from your home. I know goldfish are big waste producers.

Not without an airpump and airstone.

You can but it would be a fair bit of work.
