DIY Canopy and lights

Here are some pics of 2 Canopies I just finished. Both cost around $50 each including the lighting. These are pics of "Hood A"

I use a blue CF bulb for night lighting.

The sockets I used are standard light sockets. I wired the 2 on the ends to one switch and the middle socket to it's own switch. This is for the night lighting. The blue light is in the middle. The wiring is straight forward.. hots together and the neural lines to the switch.

Here are pics of a canopy I made for a 125 gal tank. I revised the light sockets and used some that mount sideways. I still have to add the night light sockets and cover the wiring. Stay tuned....

do those standard compacts give correct wave color for your plants.

i assume u have fress water, correct.
