Veggie treats:How to?

Just read the thread for homemade veggie rounds and have a few questions.
-can you use a blender for the veggies?
-if you use geletin, do you still cook it in the oven?
-do fish really eat potatoes?
-are these good for all fish, like bettas, mollies, guppys, danios and so on?

And what other 'meat' can you give to fish for protein? I don't trust the lfs with their bloodworms or shrimp. Thanks

Sorry I did not see this thread before.
I don't see why you can't use a blender, so yes.
No, if you use gelatin, DO NOT COOK! Just follow the instructions on the jell-o. I always add a little less water, so it stays together better.
Yes, fish will try pretty much anything, and many forum members have had good sucess with potatoes.
You can feed them to any fish, but I don't know if bettas would like them, only one of my two did.
I guess you can add meat... I'd cook it, but I don't know how good it would "keep". definitely freeze it.. I think it would *probably* work.
Hope this answers you questions.

raw beef heart is suggested as a fish food in some cases (particularly breeding discus). it fouls water very quickly though, if there is any left over.
