Stand on Wheels

I am thinking about constructing a new stand for my 55 Gal. I wanted to get some opinions about putting wheels/casters under the stand. Anyone ever done/seen this?

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to? Sliding it around when full would slosh everywhere. Even only partially-full, it would put serious stress on all the seals. Plus all the weight of the stand and tank are going to be on very small pressure points on your floor.

I, too, would advise against doing this.

Too much weight to be moving around without problems.

I think your comments have answered my curiousities. I am doing some remodeling around the house and am going to have to be moving the tanks around. Was trying to see if wheels would minimize the emptying and refilling. Oh well........Thanks for the comments.

I have a stand on numerous sliders, though this is not to allow me to move the tank while full, it's to allow me to move the tank with the gravel/plants still in it.
Wheels, on the other hand, are a bad idea. I'd be afraid of the wheels snapping under the strain.
