Can you help me identify what TYPE of plastic is used for aquarium braces?

I need to bond metal to plastic. I have a many different types of glues and epoxies. The plastic I need to bond to is the plastic found on almost all aquariums. It is found on the top and bottom of tanks and is used for bracing. I can not find a Resin Identification Number anywhere on the aquarium. The type of plastic is important because different types of glues and epoxies do not adhere to some types of plastics. For example JB Weld will not bond to polypropylene plastic or polyethylene plastic, but all other plastics. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

sorry, you no can do, well you can but it will not last.. it is all to do with the oxidization and different thermal expansion rates, and once the bond has broken then capillary attraction pulls moisture it and the oxidization takes hold, the oxidization ( rust ) will swell and brake the bond... What is it you want to do ?
