hey i am trying to set up an aquarium and i dont know if the heater i bought is submersible. i want the heater to be hidden behind some rocks could i just wrap the top electrical parts with electrical tape then put a good silisone cover over the tape? I'd rather not have to buy a new one. or is this heater submersible the proquatics hydrosafe plus heater

You picked a good one there that is the most technologically advanced heater in the world., but i do not think it can fully be submerged. Also in my opinion your idea will work, but make sure all the electrical stuff is air tight.

I'm voting BAD idea. The only thing I would trust is encapsulating the entire thing in epoxy resin.

nope, it can't be touching anything but water.

Get a visitherm stealth heater...

I have one in a turtle tank that hasn't broken in almost 2 years. And it's not because the turtle doesn't try. I have to place it about 1/4 to 1/2 way into the gravel so discourage him from ripping it up and once again making it stick out of the tank.

Very durable heater, no glass, 100% submersible, pretty much indestructible.
