Build progress 55 gallon canopy

Well I took pictures while I built this last canopy turned out great I still need to paint it black to match my stand but the lights are installed and its working nicely the lights inside are a Current USA 2x54 watt T5 1 slimpaq daylight and one Slimpaq freshwater for plants Here they are at the bottom are a couple pics of the moon lighting I installed In the back of the canopy I have 2 40 mm fans cooling the light fixture along with the small one inside the fixture I also have to vents in the top for heat spacing on the LEDs was difficult because of ballast placement and other obstuctions

Nice. I like the sloping front. What kind of wood did you use?

i used pine for the skeleton/frame and 1/4 inch I think birch vinear but it's getting painted first with black primer then with a textured black paint as close as I could get to match the stand. The last canopy was quite boxy and very heavy it was about 10 inchs tall and I used 3/4 pine for the whole thing along with 2 shop double light fixtures for a total of 4-4 ft bulbs I bet it weighed close to 50 lbs trying to put it on and take it off was a pita plus it did'nt look as good as this one it's prob around 25-30 lbs
