Using sealant to repair drilled holes and fitting piping

I got this 110 gallon but the seals were broke on the bottom PVC fittings to get it out of the stand. I would like to use the existing pipes to set up a canister filter eventually. The sealant I found says for tanks up to 30 gallons and less then 18" deep. Mine is 110 gallons and 22" deep. So is this just a recommendation and this product will work or no I need to find someting else, if so I'm stumped cause they all seem to say this. it aquarium grade 100% silicone

My plan is to add a liitle to the top part of the fitting and the bottom fitting ring that screws on.
Or worse case saw off the pipes and silicone on a glass patch to both holes top and bottom. Glass is really thick about half inch or so

If it is leaking, cut the pipe under the tank, unscrew the fittings ( black ), now check the "o" rings ( rubber rings ). You may just need to replace o rings. If you want to block it off, have 2 pieces of glass cut 1/2" x 4" x 4" fix the first one to the underside and let dry for 24 hrs, fill the hole with silicone and fit the glass and run a bead of silicone around the edge. you should wait a week befor filling.

I just bought it this way so I don't know if it was leaking. I did notice an o ring on both sides on the underside of the top piece kinda a flat ring though so I don't know if it's an o-ring. I siliconed the top and bottom pieces today then used my finger to flaten it around the pipe so it wasn't beaded but more like the sides of the tank. I'll let it dry 48 hours then test with a little water. If its not leaking I'll drain let dry a few more days then fill little by little. If it is leaking I'll break whatever seal there is clean it off and saw off the pipe and do the glass fix suggestion. Thank you for the help.
