| | Fish Newbie | 70 gallon crab and fish tank I'm planning on making a new fish and crab tank. It will be brackish water and
it will have all my guppies and seven fiddler crabs. Okay, it is not too brackish,
if it were, my guppies would die. But we are not talking about goldfish so
I'm sure it's okay. Plus, I saw a fiddler crab tank with fresh water once and
they were okay. |

| | Fish Addict | Its algae.
And Trpimp, the best way to avoid a snail infestation is to not overfeed. Thats the #1 cause of snail population explosions. Its never a good idea to add chemicals advertising to kill snails, as it will most likely kill your beneficial bacteria also, and ruin your cycle. |

Further, some are relatively peaceful scavengers, and some will pounce on any chance to snag a nearby fish (if you're trying to breed, the guppy fry will have lots of problems). |
