Something like http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...62&pcatid=3962 might work.

GE Silicone II CLEAR is what you are looking for.
It should also say 100% silicone.

A little not exactly off-topicish question if you don't mind. I'm trying to put together a lava rock cave and attach fake plants to it. I had the 100% silicone but kinda "broke" the gun and busted the bottle open Would a glue gun be safe for auqarium use? I know it might be a little messy and doesn't always dry clear but if it'll work it sure will beat having to pick new stuff up. Not sure if there is anything in the regular glue or not.

I would stick with the 100 % silicone...glue gun glue doesn't always hold and I don't know if it would be completely safe in the water.

Alrightly then, thank you very much ^^ Brother picked some a squeeze bottle of the silicone for me after work so I'm set but either way, good to know either or not the glue gun would work.

i think so.. anything that you can load up with good bacteria, then transfer over is a plus.

Nice retaining wall you built. I can see it now I will have to get another tank. I'm getting so much idea for these shelves, terraces, retaining walls I will run out of room in my current tank.

But I have very large plecos(about 3-4") instead corys, but I might be getting rid of them and getting some otos and corys instead. In all honesty, I don't even remember approving that. lol

If you plan to put some shrimp in there, those grasses in the bottom left corner could be moved and the shrimp would have a natural ramp to get to the top of the terrace.

You don't have algae problems being directly in front of a window like that?

nope no algae it is freshly set up but the blinds are closed 80% of the time. My room is like a cave really lol. I will be getting some amano or cherry shrimp. I saw on ebay that there are lime green shrimp which are amazing!!!! also there is a natural ramp on the other side of the terrace too. eventually i will have background put on the tank and background plants so i think ill get the algae under control if i get any to begin with

Go with an all shrimp tank. I can give you this guys email who knows so much about shrimp and breeds them for a lot of pet stores in Canada. The only thing is, he speaks French(from Montreal, Quebec, Canada(if you don't know, that's the French part of Canada)) and if he goes to type something, it might be a little hard to understand because it is based on the computers translations and his rough translations.

Wolfgang,

Do you still have your receipt for the slate? I'm looking for the item number. I went to both Home Depot and Lowes and couldn't find anything. Now the people I talked to didn't sound to informative, but even I didn't see it on the racks.

I want to take the item number to my store and have them search their system to see if they have any in the store. Worstcase, see if they can get some from another store.

nope i dont sorry. but the stuff i got was attached to a black plastic mesh that people would just grout in between the stones to make a pathway. It was 9 dollars. Sometimes walmart will ahve it aswell. look in the garden area and in the worse case jsut ask them to order some slate im sure they will.
