Looks like #1 is a Red Turq, or a form of Turquoise, most likely red. The other looks like a Cobalt.

The Cobalt seems to have some fuzz on its tail, be sure to watch that.

Thanks Shawnie and Slug!!

Slug: I just double checked his tail and it was just the light reflecting off the glass because there is no mark on his/her tail.

If the blue discus is a cobolt then I think the LFS shop labeled him/her wrong because they had him/her in a tank with turqs and just below was a tank of cobolts. Either way I got R150 off.

I'm still very new to spotting strains but I'll agree with slug that the first 1 is a red turq. The second one to me seems more like a blue turq.

Its possible. Discus juvis can be very secretive about their strain until they hit about 2-3". Sometimes they can come from a set of parents that are "X" strain but end up looking like a totally different strain. The reason i say cobalt is its lower fin is mostly solid. Usually turqs will show striations in their fins at a young age. Notice the red turq.

Update: Yesterday I bought a new discus. HE/She is a massive pigeon blood. Only when I got home I realized that my others are just over half its size. It must be 12-13cm in diameter. Its in quarentine atm but after a few weeks I will put it in witnh the other 4 and see what happens. Pics to come soon.
