Time to let the good news out!!!

Tomorrow I will be getting our assortment of 6 discus fish!!!!!! This has been a lengthy project that I have been working on with my 11 year old grand-daughter. She had to commit to assisting her poppi with care and learning....and deciding which to get....so we requested fish that have a more traditional discus appearance for now....sooo excited....I so love her!!!

Don't ask....YES THERE WILL BE PICS!!!!!!!

They are here!!! 10:42 am...following explicit drop and plop instructions after temp acclimations. So cute...approx 2 - 2.5 inches...6 little babies.

Pics to follow in a couple of days for whatever little colors they might have....too young for anything stunning yet.

Drop and Plop....humm...its so different than what I'm used to...but the science behind that procedure makes sense!!!

Nice! Glad they came in safe and sound. Drop and plop is widely used these days, especially with discus. Its a good method.

Its actually good that you don't see much color yet. For one they are a bit stressed, but secondly, young discus showing full color is a bad sign. It either means color enhancers or they are stunted, so letting them grow into their colors is good!

Scarey day #2...will they eat day?? 2 are swimming around as if nothing ever happened. 3 are ok and stressed. and one is very thin and a bit boney...he is my worry...couldnt notice when they were in their bags and release into a fairly dark tank.....oh well poppi...be patient!! That has always been my concern about shipping fish...can't see what your getting before it is in the bag!....c ya later need to find busy work!!!....lolol

And of course a partial water change every day til they settle in. Buckets of RO water waiting in line.
