discis

i have being keeping discis now for 3 years now and ive never had any problems . i know a lot of fishkeepers and they all say that discis are very hard to keep and would be afraid to keep them , do discis really have such a stigma attached to them its really sad because they are such a beautiful fish ...

hi shawnie i think im just a bit frustrated with the way discis are portrayed , ive never met another fishkeeper that has discis and i feel for the little guys ..

portrayed? they are amazing fish..and they definitely need more care than the normal community fish...if you have been lucky enough to not bother doing so, count your blessings...theres plenty of threads going around about them now and if you look at slug aka matts threads, he has some amazing advice about them and some great pics...he even says they arent hard work but do require that extra care....discus do require a bit more time with feedings and water changes and such..discus can live in all kinds of water and conditions but they wont thrive and be vibrant and not stunted if you dont take that extra care...im glad yours have done well
