I started with mollys and guppys, then moved on to convicts, then malawians, then gouramis and larger tetras and finally I am thinking about discus. I need to get a knowledge on them first though. I have a 75 gallon tank and I would really like to keep discus a eventually breed them. (I know, high expectations). I would like to know the statistics needed from a discus keeper. I have heard that discus need to be in a 6.5
pH tank to better the chances of breeding. my tank ph is 7.6. How do I change this or should I just leave it. Also should I buy a small school, maybe 3-5 youngsters and raise them up until a pair forms. What are suitable tankmates for discus? What temperature? Ph? food is needed? water changes? Thanks in advanced.
