Discus seems listless

Hi guys. got this discus along with 5 others 2 weeks ago but this one blue one just seems very listless..will always be hiding behind the plants and such..also doesnt show the "roundness" if you will as the others. could you help identify the problem please?

hmmmm. Discus are not the easiest fish to keep simply because their water conditions have to be soooooo pristine. Is your water chemistry in check? ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 and Nitrates 5-10?
It's been years since I had Discus (and then I lost 15 of them due to a freak ice storm/power outage for 3 days). There are Discus keepers on this site that will help you shortly I'm sure.

Check your water even rest are doing fine. DIscus are Cichlids also, thus check to see if harassed by existing mates (Stay back and watch or run camcorder).
Perhaps need more time to adjust to new home?

It can take some time for the discus to come used to there home. i wouldnt worry to much unlless it starts looking extremely un healthy. they arent the easiest fish to keep but are very pretty and can live for quite a long time

Good luck

Discus are not difficult to keep. All one need to do is give what they need and obtain healthy specimen to begin with.

water params are fine..just did a water change today aswell. was fine when i first got him..behaviour has just started around 3 days ago. quite strange..would the other discus be attacking him? i dont see how they could as he is the largest in the tank though

when you say fine can you post exact readings? also it says that you use stress zyme, are you still using that now and have you been using that on this tank from the start?

just woke up and it seems hes taken a turn for the worse..some sort of white cotton like stuff has started growing on him. he isnt moving and his breathing looks kinda shallow..=S

@abagr: tests as of this morning: ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10, pH 6 and no i stopped using it after i read that it contains the wrong kind of bacteria.

anyone have a clue what this could be..and how i can treat it..i dont have a spare tank on hand for treatment =S

I hope you have a hospital tank and if you do get him out of the main tank because it sounds like either cotton fungus or fine and tail rot. There should be medication for these things at your LFS. But I would get him out of the other tank because it is contagious.
