hi and welcome to fishlore

discus are very very sensitive, so you may need to do water changes either daily or every other day. there are several discus owners on this site that can give you more info, but I don't keep them myself so they'll be able to help you better than i can.

They should be eating by now. Did you obtain from LFS or breeder?
Yes, they can be sensitive to daily water changes, especially when using straight out of tap so would not do that yet.
What is tank temp? What have you fed or should I say attempt to feed?
What are water parameters, pH ammonia (NH3), nitrite (NO2) and nitrate (NO3) of tank and tap?

I'd raise the temp a little more. I kept all my discus in the 84-86 range.

Growth rate is all dependent on what you feed them, how much you feed them, and how many water changes you do. The more of all of them, with a high protein diet, the faster they will grow.

A normal discus growth rate with good feedings and regular water changes, and a healthy fish to start should be about .5-1" per month up until the 5-10 month range and about 4-5" then growth will slow down.

3-4" at around 8 months is a decent growth. They should still be growing, but this is the time when they start really bulking up and putting a lot of the growth into becoming round so you may not notice it as much.

Yes I agree with Slug. People say that the more water changes you do the faster the fishes will grow (along with feeding) and the more water changes means they will have a stronger immune system
