What is best to...

What is best to be fed to discus? Around 4in?

The slime coat off their parents.
Older fish do well on a high protein diet such as adult brine shrimp and beef heart.

How young are you talking about?

Sorry, i meant young as in maybe 3-7 months .ie not adults.

Your Discus will benefit from a varied diet. Frozen brands work well, including frozen brine shrimp, krill, beefheart and bloodworms. You can also feed them pellets such as New Spectrum cichlid and also a cichlid flake such as Omega One brand. Did you get your Discus yet?

Ya i have the cichlid pallets, bloodworm and tetra granules that are supposedly good for discus? Beefheart and and adultbrine shrmp i'm going to have to still get.
Nope i didnt get them as yet. My LFS suppliers didn't have, so i'm waiting till they get it.
