I'm so excited,this is my first discus fish I purchased just over 12mnths ago ,it was only 5cm when I first bought her home anyway yesterday I noticed the other red turquoise in the and her were doing the pairing up thing and tonight their laying eggs.Definately male/female...I'm like a proud mum at the moment..going to have to set up a little love nest for these guys.posted a pic of female laying,cheers

WOW!! Cool. I hope my Discus pair up and mate when they're a bit older. Most of my Discus are different color types, but I do have two Red Marlboros and five Pigeon Bloods, so hopefully out of those fish I'll get a pair.

Thanks, hope u get a pair to, just a tip,if you do or think that two of your fish are pairing up don't seperate them from community tank until they actually lay eggs.The reason for this is they release a hormone which helps you to see exactly what fish in your tank are going to pair up.Another reason is so you can determine if you have a male/female pair .That was i was told and my big pair were in community tank for a while and I'm thinking this is what has happened to mine,so anyway I thought I would pass that on to you for future use.

Do you mind moving to near me then? Just kidding, I don't really care, I know of a great breeder in the area that sells them for cheap, But I need to have a tank for them and all the requirements.
