More Chromis?

I love my shoal of 8 green chromis! I read in a couple of articles that it is best to keep them in uneven numbers, what happens if there is an even amount like there is now? And if I were to add another 3 or 5 (at a later time since my tank may or may not be cycled :x) would this cause a problem?

155 Gallon tank with live rock. The chromis are the only tank inhabitants atm. I'm not sure what else will be in the tank when/if I do get more...

Hmm, never read the uneven numbers part, just 3 or more. I don't know any potential problems from even numbers, but if you are going to add more you should do it sooner rather than later.

My oldest fish in my tank is a chromis. Though I only have one left, he has survived every disaster that he has been subjected to. At one point I had 6 but he is the only survivor. I now call him Rocky since he doesn't seem to much fear in him. He will go head to head against my yellow tang for food.

Oh and I've never heard of any rule with chromis' about odd or even numbers.

I have read the rule of uneven numbers but dont remember where, the big thing is to keep in a large enough shoal so that when the pecking order is setup, the aggression will be spread out so no one fish gets too much abuse
