I have seen a lot of these at my LFS, and I researched the heck out of them but still have a few questions. How big do they usually get? It says up to 6 inches but do they exceed that or stay smaller? How typical is they're growing rate?

Can this fish be housed in a 10 gallon on its own?

They're too active to keep in a 10 gallon tank long-term, though a small juvie would be alright for a while.
