Hello, there!
I have a 20 gallon plant tank that's still young but developing. My plan is to have a siamese algae eater to help with
algae control, especially with the dreaded red/brush algae. I also plant to have Java Moss as my carpet plant, but since they are slow-growers, the ones in my
LFS are covered with red algae. I heard the Siamese Algae Eater is the only known fish to eat this algae, but I suddenly read an article in a website that SAE can devour Java Moss within an hour and should not be kept with them. I'm now worried because I can't find any more carpet plants available rather than Java Moss. Do SAE really eat Java Moss, or is it possible that it's just a misconception of species looking like SAE?
Thanks in advance!
