I was skeptical when buying them from the LFS because they weren't to attractive either but after a couple of days in my tank they have gotten really colorful i was suprised.

And most especially when they try to impress a girl, then you'll see their true colors.

White clouds bred for me in my cool water Hillstream loach tank when I had it set up. Their colors can be very vibrant and are lovely little fish.

We as responsible aquarist can keep these and other extinct fish alive and thriving in our aquariums. I feel it is our responsibility.

it hard to believe ..i mean the fact that its up to people to keep a spieces alive in our home aquariums...today on the discovery chanel this show was on ..i wasnt really watching it i just glanced up every no and then...it was either of the victoria or mawlai lake cichlids..Exscuse the spelling..well anyways i heard the word cichilds and it made me look..lol and it said that there all ansestors of a fish that ended up there by acident..i found that interesting

Another awesome schooler is the lamp eye tet. They stick together all the time. At feeding time, its every man for himself...lol

these are my favorite fish. i have three that came from the local fish store. they were colored but nowhere near as bright as they are now. mine have blood red tails with large black spot. bright red fins with silver fringing on top and bottom of bodies, bright red noses and silvery red bodies. depending on the lighting their silvery bodies have a red tint.....really impressive little fish. i have a very vibrant gourami and i end up mesmerized, staring at these little guys more often. i feed them a combination og freeze dried blood worms (every day), betta pellets, flake food and occasionally shrimp pellets. not sure if thats responsible for their color but they are very colorfull fish.
