I was wondering if anyone knew how to tell a male from female on spotted cory?

As far as I know, females are "blunter" or more rounded than the males are. Also, they will have a larger, or higher dorsal fin. Hope that helps. It's hard to ID cories.

yea, i've heard a few different ways to tell & still have trouble telling. fortunately they aren't as prolific as livebearers in reproduction. I read that females are supposed to be bigger than males of the same age - so if you can get them to tell you how old they are, you're set.
