cory question

I have 3 albino corys...they are so cute I am going to get 3 more! Anyway I read somewhere that the corys love to play in a sand substrate. I have gravel.... has any of ya'll ever set up a little sandbox within the gravel for the corys to play in??

Yeah they love to bury in em and its most easier for them to scavenge for food.
Im not sure about the sandbox idea though, they might just stay there for most of the time.

another thing is that cories are good to buy in big groups if you are planning to breed them. Groups of 6 to 8 are the best for that. If you get them at different times or locations there will be a big chance that they won't breed between them.

Good morning. Seems I recall a thread or 2 where someone did do a sandy area in their tanks just for the Cory's. I think they do well in just about any substrate as long as it isn't so rough it hurts their barbels.
Hope you can share some photos sometime!
Ken

I have moved your thread to the "catfish/cory" section of the forum to help you get more responses.
Thanks!
Ken
