hi I have a 50 gallon tank with 3 BN in and I was thinking about adding a few cory cats in aswell so I was wondering which ones are the smallest and how many do I need as I know you need to get a few of them together as they like to shoal

There's 3 species of pygmy cories, all really cute.
Habrosus
Hastatus
pygmaeus

They should be in schools of 6 but in your size tank, a larger school would be better since they'd be hard to find.
They're very peaceful and shouldn't be kept with aggressive fish or fish big enough to eat them.

what about peppered ones? i see on that site u posted they grow to nearly 3 inches, how many of them would i be able to have?

It would depend on your other stock. Corys do better in groups. I've seen members say that 3 is a good minimum number.
Other than that, I don't know much about them.
