Eggs, eggs, eggs, and more eggs

The peppered cories are laying again!! I thought it was all over so I stole probably 50 eggs....all that I could find anyway. I got them all set up in the net breeder with a bubbler going like I did the last time and actually got some to hatch. So I sit down trying to calm myself from the excitement and get on here and tell everybody and what do I see. I see them in the T position. I actually got to watch her hold the eggs and stick them everywhere. Yes I did grab the camera and I am trying to upload pics as I type. I will put a link on here as soon as they upload. I had read about all of this and seen some pictures but I thought they only got in the T position once and then the egg laying was done and that was it...wrong answer. Boy was I in for a shocker. She is still laying eggs right now. I knew she was really getting heavy but I never dreamed she could hold this many eggs. I guess it was just luck of the draw I bought the only three peppered cories they had when I got these and I have one girl and two boys that are apparently very happy!!!

I will give them a chance to finish laying them before I go steal the rest of the eggs.

The ph in that tank is 7.6. Most of my tanks range between 7.4-8.0.

Congrats on the eggs! I hope that they hatch for you I have never been able to get my cories to breed for me. Just out of curiosity, how to you sex them?

From what I understand the females have more rounded fins and they are larger than the males. This is true with my three peppered ones. But the dead giveaway that one was female was when I caught her laying eggs. The first time I stole their eggs I did get quite a few to hatch and they are about half an inch now and just minis of the adults...cuties. Pics are almost loaded 75% right now.

hee hee yeah I like blue gravel and my favorite is black. I do have a few tanks with other colors but I would rather have my favs. All my cories, plecos, catfish all love Kens catfish pellets. You can see just how fast they can move when you give them some of those pellets and they stay right with them until the last little speck is gone. Nope I do not get paid to advertise for him wish I did.

If you look down on corys from the top females look like tear drops with the big end at the head. Males look more like exclamation marks(!) with the big end at the head. This is how it was explained to me and has worked so far

Yeah what she said...LOL.

And yes Carol I was just amazed that I got to witness all of that yesterday. I really could not believe my eyes. I got to watch all of it from beginning to end and I am still finding it hard to believe. Just one more thing that makes me love fish keeping.

Update on the eggs

Well Monday you could see itty bitty eyes peeping out of the eggs. Tuesday I saw a tail or two pop out and yesterday many more tails. Today they just look like eggs with tails and they have a hard time keeping themselves upright. I would take a picture but I can't even focus on them very well myself yet so as soon as I can I will. They are just too cute.
