Is this gravel ok?

Hi! I'm planning to get albino corys in the future, and I was wondering if this gravel is ok for corys? I'm not sure of the brand..... Thanks

from talking with other people and my own experience with keeping cory's i think they prefer a more polished smooth stone under them, the small jagged stones you have in the pic could be a bit rough for them, and they cuold get small lil cuts .

that is a pic of the stones i use, my stones are large but you can get them smaller and my corys thrive on it.

Well, my tank is full of that gravel, so I wouldn't be able to get corys?

you can still get them with that gravel i just personally think they prefer the other stones.albino corys would look great with that color under them.

best of luck

Ok, thanks. I would've chosen a different substrate, but hen I started this, I didn't know I was ever going to get corys.

I know a lot of people say stay away from small sharp gravel as it can damage their barbels, and I know most say they "prefer" sand, and should also be kept as groups. I don't keep them as they are not my thing but something to think about.

I have kept cories with gravel with great sucess. I have never had an issue with it. Yes, they do prefer sand, but gravel should be fine

I have several different types of cories too and they are all on gravel. They all seem to be doing great IMO.
