my panda corys not eating anything. what do they like??

hello, i have 4 panda corys and they are not eating anything. i thought they were "always hungry". lol.. they are together playing all day long at the back of the aquarium. I dont see them eating. Do they eat when its all dark??
Also i gave them tetraMin bottom feeder tropical tablet like http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...fm?pcatid=4263 .. and they are completely ignoring it. dont they like that? along with there when i put in "tropical crisps" they fall to bottom of tank so corys should be eating those right? any one has exprience feeding "tetraMin bottom feeder tropical tablet" to corys?

Mine like bloodworms, regular flake food, algae pellets, sinking catfish food (not sure of the brand, I can look). What you want to do is cute everything into itty bitty peices, I've noticed that they don't even try to eat anything that won't fit in their mouths. I put mine (the tablets, not the worms) into a blender and it diced them to just the right size.
Yes, they are nocturnal so you will have best results feeding them at night, I feed between 7 and 9 o'clock, that works well for me.
Another tip is to drop to food into the water pouring out of the filter, that will push it down into the gravel faster, so they'll have an easier time getting to it.
Good luck, and they may be eating when you aren't looking, just keep that in mind.

how long have you had them and is your tank cycled? if your tank is cycled but you've just gotten your cories, give them a little time to adjust to being in a new tank. if your tank isn't cycled, then they may be feeling the effects of ammonia poisoning.

if your tank IS cycled and they aren't brand new, then i'm with megusta, try feeding right after lights out at night and before you turn the lights on in the morning, and don't worry if they don't go for the food right away. mine sometimes take a little while to make their way over to eat

Oops, thanks Alex, forgot to mention that.
Neupane, I think I read in another of your threads that the tank isn't cycled, so definetly follow Alex's advice before mine, that probably why they aren't eating.
50% water changes with Prime daily until your tests read ammonia- 0, nitrites- 0 and nitrates- <20.
Then try the foods I recomended above.

My python sprays water to and I just lay a small handtowel over it to catch the spray and direct it into the sink and not all over...lol.

Mine like algae disks and flakes that fall to the bottom. So, they're eating now?

Good morning. Can you share your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings?

Cory Cats are nocturnal so more than likely they are roaming around at night to feed. Give them some more time to adapt to the new home.

Best of luck
Ken
