Cory food help

Hello I have a 26-gallon tank and i have some questions about mhow to feed my cory
My cory is starving because when I drop an algae waver in the tank my guppies and neons eat it before my cory gets a chance to.

You might want to try feeding him in the morning and at night also feed him some kind of small pellets

I've had that problem with a Angelfish doing that....so he got moved. He was pecking at the Corys also.

Have you tried turning the light off while dropping the wafer in there? Or feed the other fish at the same time?

You got some good advice above too.

Also try setting the wafer on the bottom by the Cory instead of dropping it in there. Maybe that will help.

cories are much more active at night anyways, and if you drop the food in the tank an hour or so after lights out he should be able to get it also, i'd consider varying his diet a bit more, my cories never really took to algae wafers and they need a little more protein in their diets. you can feed them sinking shrimp pellets and sinking wafers as well

Put the food in after the lights go out or feed the other fish some flake food to distract them before you drop the cories food in the corner. My cories do like algae wafers ( I think all fish do) but their main diet is shrimp pellets.

Yeah, corys aren't algae eaters. I'm sure they like to nibble but for example, I feed hikari bottom-feeder wafers (the kind with a cory on the front )

Feeding just before lights out will probably help him a lot.

To vary everyone's diet, you could blanch a slice of zucchini and weight it down to the bottom. (remove the leftovers in a few hours)

When I had a particularly active tank with a few very greedy inhabitants, I had to strategically place all my food so everyone could eat!
