I'm thinking of getting some albino corys for my new tank. Can someone tell me if it is safe for them to be in an only flourite substrate tank, or will it wreck their barbels? Also, how many should I get to keep them happy?

That should be fine. I have fine gravel and my 3 Albino Corys do fine with that. You need at least 3-5 for them to be happy.

Yeah, I think the substrate can be fine. People keep them with sand as well. The more you can fit in there the better, they do well in larger schools.

I have two albino cory's in my 26g. They do very well. I think they would do fine in any substrate that you choose.
