Ive had corys before and experienced this behavior and thought nothing of it but now I'm concerned.
When I first put my corys in my tank (new ones and previous ones) they are calm but as the day follows they have what can only be described as maddys!

They dart round the top of the tank together never settling...


What causes this behavior?

My corries used to do that all the time. Usually did it around food time. I just thought they were excited.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's when mine stopped darting around that I got worried.

Our corys do the same thing too- somtimes they're frantic . I'm not sure, but I think that they dart up to the surface to breathe

mine just darts around everywhere for the first...2months?
but now he's settling in more, but he still does the occasional darting up the tank for air?
he litterly jump 2cms out of the water...it's really cool to see =]

my cory used to go crazy and dart all around the tank. When i first got him he almost jumped right out of the bag when i was acclimating him to the water. He's settled down now though and its only been a few weeks.
