Cories or no??

I have a 55 gal tank as of this moment I have the following in the tank

6 glow light tetras
2 blood parrots
1 jack dempsy
1 blue 3 spot gourami
1 pictus cat
1 pleco

Would I be able to put a few cories in there or would I be pushing it to over stock my tank?

i wouldnt, i'd actually add at least one more pictus cat if you do have the room, they really shouldn't be by themselves

what kind of pleco?

I'm guessing he is a common pleco, wouldnt doubt it either. I'm more than likely going to have to go and return him to the store and go another route for a clean up crew cuz he is gonna get way to big for my lone 55 gal

yeah, i'd return him and get another pictus cat. if you were to return the pictus cat as well then you could probably get cories in terms of bottom space, but i dont know how they would stand up to the JD or the others in your tank

Thats what i was thinking too, not real sure how they would do with the JD which he doesnt seem to even try messing with my pleco or my pictus cat. He seems more interested in trying to get my attention for food or following my parrots around.

The JD would eat them, most likely.

Thats what I'm thinking I think Im just going to get another pictus cat and maybe look into some snails or something or even a bristle nose pleco

yeah, i think the best bet would be to return the pleco and get another pictus

I think so too...was considering try a few cories with my DP's but then again I may just stick to Otto's and save myself the worrying about them getting along

yeah i'd definitely go with the otos for the DP tank.....corys might be a bit too active for the DPs to ignore them

Yeah and heavens knows I dont want my DP's to massacre the cories so Otto's it is and mr pleco is heading back to the LFS
