Gravel for Cories?

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew whether cories like the gravel in their tank more natural-ish with bumps and little hills and things, like it looks after you vacuum the gravel, or all flattened out, and even. Thanks.

Cories like fine gravel that looks quite interesting, you know, with bumps and hills, like you say. Combined with wood, and plants, the Cories will have more objects to explore...

Its like you going on a walk. Would you wanna walk in a flat green field, or a wood filled with plants and animals

Besides after they get through investigating the gravel and checking to see if there might me some yummies under the next rock it will look like little hills and valleys anyway

Yep, thats pretty much what I figured. I've got lots of wood and things in my plants, so they aren't too bored, but I'll make an effort not to smooth out the gravel. Thanks!

So, I heard that corys like bigger gravel because they can stick their "noses" down in between it. I think really it is the preference of the owner. My cories do fine in big gravel, my parent's like their small sand...

I have sort of medium sized. Small enough that they can get their noses down in there, but not small enough they can really move it around, or accidentally eat it. I've made the gravel all lumpy now, and it is so cool! they are way more active then they usually are. i cant wait until my next gravel cleaning, so that they can re-explore!!!
