Iron waffle

I need advice. yesterday, i noticed that my bronze's cory's eye was missing. The area is swollen and it looks like it's healing or at least covering up the wound. I have removed any potentially dangerous decorations.

Will it get better, are there any catfish and loach safe remedies to this?

When I lived in indiana the people in the LFS said oh yeah the betta will be fine with others in the comunity tank.

We woke up about a week later and out fruit loop tetra was missing and eyeball too. They said he'd be fine but after the first advice I was worried and sadly he didn't not make it but a couple days. I wish I had known more about fish and what to do them and maybe he would have made it.

I hope your fishy gets better and does survive!!

It may be a result of pop-eye. If it goes to long untreated, it can lead to a missing eye. Sorry to hear about this! I (of course) may be wrong. Can somebody confirm/correct please?

I have an Oto with a missing eye and he's fine. I'm not sure that he wasn't missing it when I got him.

Do you keep your catfish with any loaches? I have heard that certain loaches will eat eyes from other fish.

I would agree. I have a fish that I got after he had a run of pop-eye at the LFS. He's fine now, but he was treated quickly. He still lost his eye though. with the swelling, that would be my best guess. if you could post a picture, that might help in diagnosis

Yeah, thats happened to me a couple times. I look at the most recently posted section of the forum and if I think I can help I answer, assuming it was recently started, not just picked back up again later. Oh well...
