they need to be in groups...so u will need at least 3...but that would prob overstock your tank...and corys do not eat algae
if u need small algae eaters, try to find an otocinclus catfish...they are sensitive so make sure u acclimate them well and keep their water very clean!!!

I wouldn't recommend a bronze cory for a 10 gallon. As they should be kept in groups of three or more and the bronze aeneus cory's get 3" and the ones labeled bronze cory but are bronchius soemthing in latin get up to 5" and either one of those would be entirely too much for you 10 gallon tank. If you really want corys look into some of the smaller species... Trilinateus (usually sold as julii or false julii) pygmy, panda, or one of the other two dwarf corys (harder to find though).

Hmm ok I'll see wat I can find.I had an idea to make my own algae pellets for the cories.I am algae farming right now so i had the idea to use the algae off the rocks and mix it with flakes. This is until i get the algae pellets.

If you want something to eat algae get an oto. Cory's are scavengers but not necessarily algae eaters.

Otos are a great addition to a cycled non-overstocked tank.

Otos will eat the algae and do not produce a big bioload. they also need to be in groups of at least 2 (preferibly 3+), but they do not get as big... they usually reach the max of 2 inches.

However, they also need to be fed algae wafers (I feed mine hikari) because the algae growing in a tank is not enough for their diet.

they also need pristine water and cannot stand high nitrates. They are very delicate but if they survive the first month they will be some of the hardiest fish you'll ever have.
