worried about my cories

Two of my precious panda cories seem to have worn their little barbels down. they are acting fine, eating good and water parameters are fine - also there doesn't appear to be any sign of infection - should I be worried?! The gravel is pretty smooth but I'm still toying with the idea of adding some sand to get rid of the nooks and crannies that they poke around in. the other two pandas and my pepper cory's barbels are just fine. will their "whiskers" grow back like my gourami's tail is doing in my other tank?

I wouldn't worry about the cories, they will do fine without the barbels. I am not sure if they will grow back or not though.

arent they barbels what loaches, corys, etc use to search for food, isnt that how they taste and then if they want to eat it, so i would think that they wouldnt be fine with out them, but if there not completly gone it would be ok
