Which cory sould i get?

I just got a 20g tank and i want to know what kind of cories are the most interesting and fun to watch. I don't really want albino cories because i've had them in the past and i want something different. Are peppered or bronze cories a good choice?

Both peppered and bronze cories are nice. I like Juliis and Pandas as well.

If you can get your hands on a nice school of C. metae, that would be a great selection. The common name is usually Skunk cories, or bandit cories. Here is a link from planetcatfish: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog...?species_id=24

I love to watch my false julii's (usually sold as a julii in a pet store) They especially love the bubble wall. I just got some bronze aeneus cory's the other day and they are very active also. I would just be careful on which ones you did get. There is a bronze cory that is sold that gets about 5" and the bronze aeneus gets 3". If you want other fish in your tank, I would recommend going with the julii's, panda's, or skunks. I think all of those stay relatively small, 2" or under.

I have peppered (longfinned), pandas, Sterbai's, and pygmy. The pandas are my favorites -- today, anyway! The pygmy's run a close second!

The only problem I found with that website is that they don't ship to the US! They have some gorgeous fish though.

That website http://www.corysrus.com/ does have tons of corys and they sell them on aquabid as well. I have just heard alot of bad stuff about the seller and how he deals with his customers.

I have False Juliis (Leopard Cories) in my 55, a school of 6, and they are fun to watch. A few will swim in at the bottom of the bubble curtain, float to the top, swim out and down, and do it again for 5min or so. It's like a roller coaster for them. Also, at feeding time, I'll drop in an algae wafer and one will pick it up in its mouth and the rest will chase that one around the tank until he drops it. After it softens up and gets spread out a bit, you can see all of their tails sticking up in the air all in one spot as they're cleaning the gravel. They're really quite funny.

I also have some Peppered Cories in my 10 gallon with my betta. They act pretty much the same, but on a smaller scale, and they seem to school more than my Juliis do, though they don't dogpile like the Juliis (or at least not yet). You really can't go wrong, just pick the style you like.

I really like the juliis cories but i don't think any of my lfs have any. So i'll either get peppered or panda cories.

I still say go with the C. metae, if you can get a hold of them, that is.
