I've got a new tank (10 gal) that's going to hold baby fish while i'm waiting for them to get big enough to take them to the LFS. Could I put cory cats in with them?

I kept cory's in a 20 gallon tank with my baby guppies and they did just fine, they even started breeding. The only thing I would worry about would be overcrowding.

so cory's in a 10 gallon wouldn't work? The babies are only going to stay for about a month and I've only figured out when to catch the one mollie.

I wouldn't recommend it. Unless maybe you went with one of the dwarf cory's Pygmaeus, Hasborus, or Hastasus But those you normally have to special order or find online. They stay small and wouldn't require the room that other cory's would. And they are really cute!
