hi i am new to your forum. i am glad i found it because i need help and love to talk about my fish =) ok, i have 5 cory catfish, all of different varieties. a female of the group is an albino and rather large for a cory but she is approximately 3 years old. she's been laying eggs on and off for about 5 months. just a couple hours ago i looked over and she was on her side looking reddish in the belly aand labored breathing. i poked at her and she took off swimming in a corkscrew with bubbles coming out of her anal duct. i caught her in the net and turned her over and she is very swollen. i lightly pushed and bubbles and some eggs are coming out of her. when i let her go she swam regularly for a few minutes then went back to being almost sideways. her oldest cory friend in the tank that is about 5 years old and i believe to be male has been staying by her side. the fish is not on it's side the whole time but is on and off and reddish. and what's with the bubbles? i'm not sure if there is anything i can do to help her but i included a few pictures to kinda see how her anal duct is looking. any advice would be greatly appreciated. the last pic is of all my corys together.

I'm sorry to hear that she didn't make it. I honestly have no idea of what to do in a situation like that, so I'm afraid I wouldn't have been much help earlier.

hey thank you for the sympathy. yeah i mean i'd never seen anything like what had happened to her. i think maybe she just got eggbound and it got infected and the bubbles were gas from the infection. thanks though.
