Hi,

We have a 7 gallon tank with two leopard corys. Will a weekend food block work with corys? The food block wrapper says it has dried tubifex worms, mosquito larvae, plant extracts etc. We have dropped in a block in the morning but it hardly seems to have dissolved. Is this normal? Will out corys be OK?

How long are you planning on leaving the corys? They tend to eat more at night.

They'll find it and eat it -- corys are great at that.

I want to leave them over a weekend. I just hope that the block is dissolving.

Has it dissolved any more? They would be ok for a couple days without food, but I agree that they should find the food.

If you are leaving them over the weekend, they should be fine without food, just make sure that you feed them just before you leave, and just after you get home.

Honestly, I only feed my corys every other day anyway. A weekend wouldn't be much longer than they go normally.
