Recently I noticed my cory cat hadn;t been seen for a week or so. I was just thinking he was only out at night. Well, once I found his hiding spot, he is no longer a spotted cory cat! he is a very light color, almost clear, and seems very sick. He has obviously not been eating. In my 30gallon tank I have 2 cichlids, and a pictus cat, all small fish(the pictus is not even 2 inches). Please help, I don't want him to die!

What are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings? How long has the tank been set up? How often do you do water changes? What are you feeding?

How long have you had him? Do any of the other fish show symptoms? Is he the only Cory cat? They get lonely when kept alone and it's possible that he's not sick but lonely if he's not had another cory around.

well to be honest, I have never taken those readings, i have had the tank for about 2 months and I've had him since. He is the only one and all of the other fish are very healthy. Once again he is back in his hiding spot(the conk shell) and he never comes out. I can barely swim, he is actually a very light yellow color. Another side note, the pictus cat seems to lay against, almost on the cory cat when i remove the shell. It is a very odd situation, but he is still alive as of today!

I would consider another cory or 2 as it's probably 50/50 that he's lonely.

Yea, a pic would be helpful.. especially to our members who really know their cory cats.
