Some bad luck! Sorry to hear about stuff breaking, always a bummer. Don't worry to much about the skimmer, your tank is small enough that it will be just fine without it forever or for however long you choose to not run it. I don't run one on my 10gal, going on 2 years now. Just keep up a good WC schedule (i've slacked in this department as of late with the discus but my corals seem to love some "dirty" water haha)

Kim Thanks for the suggestion and offer. I am planning on using the Loctite gel superglue or some silicone to fix it. Next time I go up there I will let you know.

Matt Thanks!

Matt(Slug) Thanks. Good to hear. I was worried about it. The skimmer was only pulling like 1/8 of a cup each week now. But it was really nasty looking junk.

What are the temperature readings like in that small of a tank with 250 halides? I know I was having issues in my 90 gallon with 2 250 bulbs...

It does look like they're pretty far away from the water surface though, which I imagine is helping...

Keep up the good work Cory

Thanks.

With no heater it was a steady 78-79. With no MH and heater it is the same. They aren't working so I am only running T5's
