Need help selecting first coral!

I have a 35 gallon and I want to buy my first few coral. I don’t know where to start, I need some helpful suggestions for a hardy first coral. I Can you point me in the right direction?

-I have 2 x 18W 15000k JBL T8 lights (Solar Marine Day)

unfortunately, your lights are not good enough for most if not any corals.

I would assume that as a beginner in reef tanks, you would want to start with softies because they're the easiest. (LPS requires a little more care and SPS requires intense lighting-metal halides)

I would either get T-5 HO's or Power compacts

T-5 High Output (HO) (get the one that has the same lenth as your tank)

Power Compacts (PC)

Remember, the stronger the lights, the better your coral will be. Also, for example one of the fixture has 1x96 watts bulb for 36" and another has 2x96 watts for 36". I would get the 2x because you could keep LPS and maybe SOME sps in the future with the fixture

or you cuold just get these:
