| Awesome.
Recently saw the cost of ricordea. Would you believe that ricordea was freebies with Fl Base/ LR before being controlled. No one paid for these ricordea.
I miss my corals.
Thanx to your awesome pics of corals, have urgent need to apply some Hydrocortisone now. LOL
Looking Good and Enjoy.
BTW, how is your test kit when compared to Saliferts if have used both? |

Wouldn't you know it, the Power Buy for the other forum I'm on is Ricordeas this month. I'm probably getting another 8-12, lol. They're even offering some multi-colored, multi-mouthed ones! I love ricordeas, and they seem to love my tank. I'm thinking right side ricordea, middle zoanthids, and left side polyps and trumpets...
Of course now I'm wanting a 110 with starfire, so I may be rescaping in the next 5-6 months anyways... |

| I tested my API vs. the Elos.
API:
Ca: 420 nitrate: 00 DKH: 14
Elos
Ca: 380
Nitrate: 05
dKH: 10.5
MG: 1350
I'm ordering more Elos kits. I will continue to test with both kits and keep a log of the readings for comparison.
Thanks guys! It's really come a long way from the tank of bare sand just 6 months ago... |

Au01st and I both belong to a local reef club and we got a great deal on the Elos test kits. That and the free corals were quite the nice bonus!! |

What I used to do w/ any loose mushrooms is to have them attch to any rubbles in sump on their own before adding to main display.. This way dont have to worry about any flying around/runawys. |

| gotcha! well i don't have a sump LOL....i just got the main display i don't have any room in my family room....1 55gallon that does not hold water with an easter box turtle and my 55gallon SW tank.....plus if i added any small tank or anything my mom would flip out! i think its time to find a house LOL......i need a gf to help me pay bills LOL |

| Use cheap plastic noodle strainer, attach (fishing line would do) long styro strip on the side to keep it afloat. Put some rubbles and mushrooms/polyps. Now you have p/t frag tank w/o being evicted, lol! Just make sure to secure the contraption away from direct MH and returning water which can tip the whole thing over. |

I never used any glue in my many years of reefing. I let them do their thing, even with SPS. But i heard nothing negative so far. I thnk someone already mentioned above. |

| ya got home from work today and the recordea fell off my rock or blew off my rock next to my feather duster i wish this **** thing would attatch itself b4 i go hostile LOL! |

| | Fish Bum
| yup once again it was on the side of the tank! still not attatching itself. its curling up i duno wtf is going on! i read on one of the posts that it might be the location of either too much light or too much current. well i put it all the way on the bottom of the tank on the sand for now to open it back up. when i baught it it was laying on sand on the bottom of a tank.....when and if it opens back up i'll just put it on a lil piece of rock on the bottom of the tank and start from there.... |

Good luck with that search. Everything will end up costing more...
Oh, and don't ever bring your girlfriend when you're shopping for corals. My girlfriend has expensive taste: acans, ORA crocea clams, and anthias... |

| I have glued 4 ricordeas and they're all staying put. Get some super glue GEL, take the ric out and put it in a small container with tank water. Find a piece of rubble or shell and put some glue on there, a dab about the size of a pea should work. Take the ric and push it on there, but don't squish it. Put it back in the container and let it sit for 20min. The glue will turn hazy/cloudy in the water and after a bit the ric should be on there plenty tight. |

| so super gel glue....well now i gota wait for the ricordea to flatten out cuz right now hes curling up....so i think im gona do wha the LFS guy did b4 i bought him. he just had him in a tank sittin in the sand and wait....til it flattens out |

| Yeah, but it's possible he had lower flow or something. I would never leave mine just sitting, they'd be gone in no time.
Another possibility is to get something like a breeder net, put a bunch of rubble in the bottom, and put the ric in there. It won't blow around, but will still get light and circulation necessary. Eventually it'll attach to one of the pieces of rubble and you'll be good to go. |
